Long day of verifying a hundred or so Affidavits and supporting documents.
Only four or five had problems.
Three or four had Residency paperwork issues (didn't have a proof from each of the three groups) and one had a "baby foot" Hospital Birth Record instead of an Official Birth Certificate.

No matter how many times you do affidavit reviews you always come across something new. You can tell your parents/ coaches to look out for 100 different issues you've seen in the past, but you'll still get that one that has you scratching your head.

That's for sure.

WIth most players using the school form now, it has gotten easier. Many times one person takes all the forms to a school to be signed all together.

The biggest mistake was always the issue with dates, usually a bill that was too recent.

Our district night is not for a little bit yet. Our leagues still have a couple of weeks of the season left.

Oh, last year we got a Russian birth certificate. Not a problem with it, except figuring out what it said, and keeping the date straight, (most counties not using the US date format of M/D/Y, but we have experience with that with a Dominican Republic certificate.).

Repeat All Stars are using previously approved TPV Forms.
Generally not a problem but I questioned a couple of 12 year olds on the 10-12 team that had a School Form from when they were in Elementary School (they are now in Middle School).
Told the PA to get a School Form signed at the Middle School or attach a II(d) Form to the Elementary School Form.

Had a "make-up" Affidavit Meeting last night and got all the previous problems resolved. Had two leagues that missed the first meeting show up last night. Surprisingly no issues with any of their binders!

Because it was from a different school, right.

Can a II(d) waver still be filed at this point? I thought they had to be in by June 1st.

A new school form should also work.

We almost never have problems at the District night, but our league also meet with managers as many as 3 or 4 times to make sure everything is right. And with several of us have done this for years, we are pretty good at catching mistakes.
