If you want one I'll give it to you!
All of the leagues in our District have started playing their games.
Some opened on the 16th, the rest on the 23rd (last Saturday).

Weather has generally been in the 70s with a few days in the low 80s.
Right now (10:30 pm) it's 68 with a light drizzle of rain.

I was in Massachusetts on the 16th for a family wedding.
Flew home out of Logan Airport on Sunday night, it was snowing and in the 20s.
Reminded me of one of the reasons why I moved to Florida!!!

Looks like a lot more snow is heading for New England.
Good Luck up there.

We've been really light this year in my area, even this "big" one was three inches, (though heavy and wet).

The biggest one was back in November, which I, unfortunately, drove through. The first 350 miles was six hours, the last 40 was 4 hours.

Opening day is April 6th. The weather then can be cold, but no one remembers it ever raining.

High school BB tryouts started today. Inside.

Have a great, and sunny, season.

Not to make you feel worse but our Baseball Major Division "Mid-Season" Tournament starts on April 5th, the same weekend you start play!
The Minor BB Division Mid-Season Tournament is the following Weekend.
We also do Weekend Softball Jamborees (using the Softball Special Games Guidelines) for Minors and Majors in April.

Our Regular in-House Season and Inter-League Play start mid February.
We have a week off in March for Spring/Easter Break.
Mid-Season Baseball Tournaments are early April.
Softball Jamborees are usually mid April.
Regular Season finishes mid May followed by the Top Team Tournament then All Stars.

Keeps us pretty busy!

Yes, your "Mid-Season" tourney always gets me. :)

You certainly are busy.

We still have people registering. Middle school cuts are not for a week or two yet, which effects junior/senior registration. (Though less without Big League teams.)

Already we have people asking if we close for the Easter school break. Complicated by the fact that schools don't all have the exact same days off, we just can't give up two weekends in a ten week season.

On the positive note, the turf field is ready to go!

Our Mid-Season Baseball Tournaments and our Softball Jamborees are held to give as many players as possible the opportunity to play in a "Tournament".
The vast majority of kids never get to play All Stars so this is our way to get them the experience of playing in a Tournament.

That's also why we highly encourage every league to play Inter-League.
Give the kids the opportunity to play other teams at other parks rather than just playing the same teams at the same fields over and over and over again.
