All Star Game 10U.
Umpire ejects manager for using profanity on the field.
Parents go crazy and dont like it.

The umpire was scheduled to umpire the next game for the same manager's team.

DA removes the umpire because the parents of that team did not want that umpire to do that game.

Does that sound right?

The DA assigns the Umpires.
I guess he felt it would be better to avoid the conflict.
DA's choice, although if it were me I probably wouldn't make the change.

======
Parents disagree with a manager being ejected for profanity in a 10U game - that's the real sad part of this incident in my opinion.

======
Had a situation a few years ago between two local teams, I was the TD.
Lots of yelling from both stands during the game (these teams' fans always seem to be loud/yell a lot).
After the game I had parents from both teams come up to me and say the plate ump favored the other team!

Both teams made it to the Finals and guess what, same plate ump.

As the TD I went out to home plate and spoke to the fans before the game.
I told them to behave or some/all of them would be headed to the parking lot.

Probably didn't hurt having a cop standing next to me!

I understand that the DA assigns umpires to games, but to give in to parents and not support the umpire for doing the right thing is what I disagree with...

From a practical standpoint, it’s easier to find Coaches than Umpires.
From a leadership standpoint, the DA made an error.

Parents seem to be getting worse and worse around here, (in our district).

They seem to feel they have the right to say anything they want at any age.

Had a parent call the umpire a  F^&^*ing A^&^hole.

Got called to another field where as I am walking up I hear "Don't F*&^ing shake hands," repeatedly. (This one I end up having to stand between two people going nose to nose.)

There was always a troublemaker here or there, but there seemed to be a few more, and their behavior is worse. Some people will scream "It is about the kids," but it really seems to be all about them. I have to say the 5U state tournaments, 2U teams, etc. seem to be all symptoms of tying things too seriously.

Parents will act as badly as you let them.
If a parent called an umpire a F#ck:ng A$$h&le at our park he/she is headed for the parking lot.
Time would be called, the BOD Member would come to the field and the person would be told to leave. If necessary, the police would be called.

If you "take control" (eject a parent or two if/when necessary) early in the season word gets around and things get better.

We have "Code of Conduct" signs posted on our fields and they are enforced.

Again, don't let the inmates run the asylum.

Oh, he was gone. I was the one that removed him.

The other instance the game was over, though two parents were removed earlier.

We have a “No Tollerence Policy” that is posted, and everyone that signs up must agree to it to register their child. (Though I’m sure many don’t read it, not that this matters.)
