What's the guess on the reasoning for moving the online affidavits to the LL Data Center?

We have always had the manager's do them, but it seems like they want league officers doing them.

Were too many people playing with the old site?

Because it's 1000% easier and quicker and more accurate, plus it consolidates all the LL online stuff onto one site.
The managers can (and should) still do them.
Just set up an account for them.

Our Player Agents (one BB and one SB) do them.
Easier and quicker to do them once you've done one of two.

Too hard to get 11 managers to do them especially if some are not "computer savy" (yes, some still aren't)!

It works well for us doing it that way - your mileage may vary. B)

It looks like they really want an officer to do them, (from looking at the documentation).

We were going to let managers do them again, but some Directors had concerns over every manager being able to modify every affidavit.
Nothing malicious, just that some managers are much less computer/internet capable than others.

Not hard to do, I did some for some managers last year, just takes a little time.

I was very happy when it went online, not sure what didn't work from last year.

Our President set up all the school addresses for each team.
The managers just had to put in the kids' names and birth dates (and any addresses used for residence).
Simplifies things a bit and then the manager just has to click Print.

Next year we are going to use Schools Attendance instead of Residence for everyone.

The address/mapping database used by LL for Affidavits has repeatedly been wrong, and places kids in our boundaries outside of them.
Combine that with the three proof documents needed to show Residence and it's been a struggle.
Very frustrating.

School Attendance is the way to go.

Just a quick help for people who remember for next year: when you are putting in a kid's address and it keeps putting the marker outside of your boundary (thanks Bing Maps), put in the ZIP code + 4. That's the 4 other local zip code digits. Usually fixes the marker.

If only they just used Google Maps...

School Attendance is usually much easier. (We did have one this year that had the wrong school address! and the wrong year! - said the kid started 9/1/18, but it was fixed.)

One affidavit for the 11s this year had 10 schools, but it still is easier.
