According to this morning's newspaper, there was some questionable behavior on display during a Chicagoland Sunday Baseball league game. The article states that one of the teams was subject to racial slurs and verbal abuse by players and coaches of the opposing team. Then, after the game, a shoving match between players and coaches from both teams took place.

The Chicago Sun Times ran the story this morning:

Then Yahoo Sports picked it up later in the day:

Both teams are representing Little League organizations in the Chicagoland Sunday Baseball league -- West Lawn Little League and Kennedy Park Little League.
Curious if any sanctions are to follow?

Players from a local LL playing together in a Sunday League that plays by PONY Rules, why would that be a problem? !!! B)

Now, if the teams are sponsored by their Local LL, use their LL uniforms, equipment, etc, that's a different story.
Even so, unless someone complains to the Region/Williamsport, then it is what it is.
Even with a complaint "The Janitor" might not do anything!

Article from yesterday indicates that a coach and several players were "disciplined" for Sunday's incidents.

Don't believe Williamsport is all that concerned with the Chicagoland Sunday Baseball League. Last year, Williamsport was asked why there were so many Little League teams listed under the "teams" tab as participating in this league? Nearly a dozen specific teams/leagues were identified. Shortly after, those identified Little League names were removed from the "teams" tab of the league's website. Those teams still played in the league, just their names were removed from the "teams" tab (could still find them under the "schedule" tab).

Same is true this year. You can find the usual Little League affiliated teams listed under the "schedule" tab, but not under the "teams" tab. In order to play in the Chicagoland Sunday Baseball League, you have to be an in-house player and the league you are representing is the first line on the team registration form.
