For the past 10 years our league has asked for and received permission to let 15 year olds play in Jr softball.

This year for some reason our DA turned down the Waiver..?

My question is does the DA have that power or can he only write his recommendation on the Waiver and then send it to the Western Region?

I know there’s only a few Waivers that a DA can approve or deny.

Thanks for any help.

The DA cannot turn down that Waiver Request.
The DA can only forward the Waiver Request to the Region with his/her "recommendation".
The Region will then forward it to Williamsport for the
final decision.

Sounds like it's time to talk to the DA (or call the Region!).

Here would be the one time that I could see a DA rejecting such...

If you are playing in a district-wide Interleague and all of the other presidents say no to 15s in the Interleague, then I could see it not going past his desk.

But beyond that, he would have to file the request.
