In softball is there any situation where F5 wouldn’t crash?

I don't think it matters if it is softball or baseball... I always have a rotation where F5 holds.
If I think they are going to fake bunt and try to steal third, I may want to hold F5 on my rotation play.

My F5 says she usually holds with runners on 1st and 3rd.

Pretty much gives R3 home that way if the batter bunts toward 3B - which they should if they know F5 is going to hold.

There are lots of different bunt coverages.
For LL ages, simple is often better.
I always crashed F5 and had F6 cover 3B.
YMMV.

For LL, I generally would expect F5 to crash if there is runner on 3B but not always if there is a runner on 2B and open 3B.

Her starting position is 30 feet or less from home.

Scares the heck out of me.
But they win a lot.
