( b ) Regular Members should not be actively engaged in the promotion and/or operation of any other baseball/softball program.


I just became the K-8 Athletic Director for the school district. I plan on going after all the Major AllStar softball player to tryout for the school team.

Obviously I can't be President again no matter what the rule is because I couldn't give 100% to both positions but I also don't want to see my local league waste the money we've been saving for 10+ years.

Also don't want them to go back to their old ways of making the rules up as they go along...The board will only have one, maybe two people who truly respect the rules.

I'm thinking about either managing or coaching a Jr Softball team and possibly being a PA in some other division....Does my role as AD disqualify me?

Generally that paragraph is intended to apply to being involved with "competing" organizations (Travel, PONY, Cal Ripken, ASA, etc) not local School Programs.

Bottom line is that it is really up to your local league.
If they don't have a problem with it you are good to go.

Yea, I don't see that as competing.
Little League clearly wants to accomidate school ball.
I'd want good relations with the local school district.
