can someone help me out with what the rules are for 10-9-8 (softball) tournament play  I have gotten conflicting information, specifically regarding

IFR (I do not believe this is in effect at 10-9-8)

D3K (I do not believe they use this at 10-9-8)

when baserunners are allowed to leave (ie on release or when pitch crosses plate)

my daughter is likely to be catching, and I want her to be prepared.  she plays fully "normal" softball rules in TB, but I want her to be aware of potential differences (ie if we are not playing D3K, I do not want her throwing to 1B is 3K gets away from her).  I may be wrong on my assumptions above, as I have heard conflicting information.

anything else special for 10-9-8?

I believe there is IFR for 8,9,10.

No U3K and baserunners cannot leave until the ball is batted/ reaches the batter.

There should ALWAYS be infield fly rule. The only time there wouldn't be is if your LOCAL RULES took it out (which it probably shouldn't).

Both baseball and softball 10 year old tourneys do not use uncaught third strike.

The Softball Tournament Rules are in the Softball Rulebook.
LL used to post the Tournament Rules on their Website but they didn't do it this year, not sure why.

There are some weird roster rules implemented last year.
Not sure if they exist this year.

No uncaught 3rd.
IFR exists but an umpire might not interpret "routine" the same way you might.

In all candor, if I were in your shoes, I'd kindle the rule book and have a searchable database on site for $4.99.

It's one of the best purchases I've ever made.
Shin guards, that was a better purchase, but close.
