Discussion on another thread about kids vote, managers vote, ...

So, how does your local league select their All Star players?

Also, how are the All Star managers/coaches selected?

Kids select top seven players plus a manager, if there a tie for the seven spot the winning manager breaks it plus gets to select the other 5-7 players.
Then the board appoints and approves.

Managers in the division vote, top ten are on.
AS manager then picks two from remaining players receiving votes.

They have to take 12?
No 13 or 14?

The BOD decides on the number of All Star players on each roster.
Minimum is 12 (unless, with justification, the DA approves less than 12).
Due to the difference in MPR, many leagues carry 13.
Haven't seen many leagues around here carry more than 13.

We leave more than 12 to the discretion of the AS manager, but he has to pick from players recieving at least one vote.

See my reversal of the situation I thought I had in other thread.
